Meet Papa G
The Man Behind the Rub
It started at the smoker. Every weekend, Papa G would fire up the offset smoker in the backyard and cook for family, friends, and whoever showed up. The rubs he mixed in his kitchen — by feel, by taste, by memory — became the thing people asked for before they asked for seconds.
Word spread. Neighbors wanted jars. Friends wanted jars. Strangers at the cookout wanted jars. So Papa G started blending bigger batches, labeling them by hand, and bringing them to the Old Katy Farmers Market — where the same folks came back week after week, and brought their friends.
Every Papa G's Rub It All blend is still made the way it started: small batch, real ingredients, and tested on the people Papa G cooks for first. Nothing goes in a jar until it's good enough for the family table.
